A kiss before dying - Sarutul dinaintea mortii

Film din anul 1956 - un veritabil film noir, o ecranizare a romanului lui Ira Levin. Intr-o atmosfera de suspans, Robert Wagner joaca rolul unui psihopat care-si ucide prietena  gravidă şi apoi începe o relatie cu sora ei. Aceasta vrea sa investigheze cauza misterioasei morti a surorii sale.

Pentru actor, a fost un curaj (si un fler) sa accepte acest rol negativ; socanta este imaginea acestui baiat tipic pentru acei ani, car eputea s ascunda atat sange rece. Prietena sa dezonorata, fiind acum dezmostenita de familie, nu mai reprezenta pentru el o partida. Initial,intentionase sa se casatoreasca cu ea, dar acum, vrand sa scape de ea, insceneaza o sinucidere.
